Metropolis 1998 is a city-building simulator in which players can build a metropolis according to their own tastes. The main feature of this project is that it’s designed in the style of 1990s video games, even though its release is scheduled for mid-2026. The developers want to give fans of old-school games a chance to feel nostalgic, while also packing their simulator with as many features as possible. Numerous features will be used to manage traffic and logistics; build roads based on the total volume of traffic. The game lets you focus either on an urban style by constructing skyscrapers and office buildings, or on creating an almost rural vibe with small markets and neighborhoods of charming cottages.
