Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 is the latest chapter in the popular survival horror game. The series has soared in popularity with both adults and even older children. It’s one of the biggest indie horror games out there, and the latest chapter is ready to sneak up on you sometime in 2023.

Although we don’t yet have a release date, the game’s new trailer does give us a few hints about what is going on. The trailer features two previous enemies in the game, the powerfully frightening Mommy Long Legs from Chapter 2, and the classic Huggy Wuggy from Chapter 1. It shows where they are at now, and gives you a sneak preview of what’s coming.

Clues for Chapter 3

A gas mask gives us our biggest hint as to what is going on in the latest chapter. In previous Poppy Playtime, you play as the previous employee of a toy factory that has long since closed down. You decide to revisit the toy factory when you hear about other staff going missing.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 and 2 have been about your investigation in the toy factory while you try and avoid nightmarish toys who want to play with you.

The trailer shows a gas mask as the primary clue for this next game. The game is set to pick up right after chapter 2 and continue on from there. The game is likely to be a puzzle solving game much like the first two, with your handy grabbing tool a critical part.

Chapter 2 ended on quite the cliffhanger. We can only hope that the next chapter will be just as exciting for fans, and perhaps answer a few questions.

Not Much Else Known

This game has been kept well under wraps, with just a few glimpses of gameplay here and there. The release date is also fairly vague with “Sometime in 2023” being the best we can get from MOB Entertainment as a time frame. The previous two Poppy Playtimes have been very exciting however, so we can hope that this latest in the franchise will be every bit as exciting.

Parental Guidance Advised

This game has cartoonish but still scary looking toys, which some kids see as meant for them. The game is indeed suitable for kids 11+, but may be too scary for younger kids. If your child loved Five Nights at Freddy’s or Hello, Neighbor they will probably be just fine with the Poppy Playtime series. If your kid isn’t into horror, this would not be a fun game for them.
