Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is an incredible platforming adventure game that was released all the way back in 2007. Though the game is quite old now, it still holds up today with its fun gameplay and immersive story. Whether you played this game when you were younger or not, it’s definitely worth downloading and playing even today. Let me tell you a bit more about the game.
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is the fifth instalment in the Ratchet & Clank series, following the two iconic characters as they journey to a tropical planet known as Pokitaru. Here, they encounter a young schoolgirl named Luna who gets abducted at one point, and the dynamic duo do everything they can to save her.
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, like all the other games in the same series, is full of action-packed gameplay that can be enjoyed by anyone thanks to the simple controls. Not only is there plenty of fighting to do, but there’s also a whole lot of fun platforming for you to enjoy. If you’re a fan of other 3D platforming games like Super Mario Odyssey or Yooka-Laylee, you’re sure to love this game too.
The majority of the game sees you playing as Ratchet the lombax in third-person, but there are a few instances where things are switched up and you get to play as Clank, too. This gameplay variety helps keep the game interesting throughout and is even often seen in other Ratchet & Clank games, so if you like Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters you should consider trying some of the other instalments out.
Minigames and multiplayer
In addition to the main game, there are a few cool minigames that are a part of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters. These include things like Destruction Derby, Clank Challenges, and even special Hoverboard Races. Certain minigames are also exclusive to multiplayer and can be played with a friend offline. Two of these minigames – Capture the Flag and Deathmatch – are well-known and popular in other video games so you likely know what to expect in them. One of the other multiplayer minigames, Iron Lombax, is a bit more unique and has you completing different tasks within the game that differ between maps. All in all, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters has a lot for you to experience and enjoy, and it’ll be a long time before you get bored of it.
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is one of the many fantastic instalments in the Ratchet & Clank series, and has plenty of cool features specific to the game that help it stand out from the crowd. The plot, humour, and gameplay are all great, and if you’re never had the please of experiencing the game for yourself, be sure to download it and give it a go.
- Great story and humour scattered throughout
- Range of fun minigames to enjoy
- Cool player progression system where you unlock new weapons as you play more
- Graphics don’t really hold up to today’s standards
- There aren’t many multiplayer modes available and it’d be cool to see more than just three
