Along the Roads of the Eighties

Retrowave is an arcade race imbued with the spirit of the 1980s. It is developed and published by RewindApp. It is an independent studio with more than twenty years history. During its existence it has released such hits as Initial Drift Online, Rampage Miami and Pyrax. Almost all of the projects of the studio are united by nostalgia for the eighties, good graphics and quality music.

In Retrowave five unique universes that blur the line between the real past and the futuristic retro-atmosphere are available. The racer can enjoy four game modes and get behind the wheel of ten unique cars that existed in reality.

Neon, palm trees and endless highways!

The game starts with one available car. The racer drives it out on a busy road and begins a thrilling ride on the colorful tracks. For winning the race he receives in-game currency, which can be spent on improving the existing car. Or the purchase of the next supercar in the storyline. All cars are unlocked gradually as you complete the tracks in each of the five available worlds. There are four modes available in the project:

• One way, in which traffic goes in one direction
• Two way, when the oncoming lane is also moving cars
• Time attack, where you want to set the best time
• Speed bomb, where you need to get to checkpoints faster than the explosion

Each mode is available on four unique tracks. They are united only by the stylistics of the 1980s.

The car pumping system has two components. The visual part is the paint and wheel upgrades. Such tuning only affects the appearance. Also available to the player to improve:

• Engine
• Steering
• Braking system

Additionally, you can install nitro tanks and a turbine on the car. And the user can also get the option to disable the police chase mode. The cost of each of these options is 5000.

Advantages and disadvantages

In terms of atmosphere Retrowave resembles a mixture of Initial Drift Online and the arcade parts of Need for Speed. But the game has no equal in appearance. It stands out among the races with its unique visual style. And among its advantages the critics and users note:
