Aircraft Carrier Survival

Aircraft Carrier Survival is one of those games that I never knew I wanted until I knew that it was a thing. This is a strategy, management, tactics style of game and it looks very, very appealing to me. The game is set during World War II, but before you start yawing and move on. I do think that they are trying something new and interesting with this game and it is certainly something that I am very excited about.

The USS FLAG!

If you get that Gi Joe reference, you are awesome! Anyway, the whole premise of Aircraft Carrier Survival is that you are in charge of a big badass, aircraft carrier during World War II and the decisions that can make sure the people on board survive and are ready for war are ones that you have to make! It is a great idea for a video game and the whole World War II setting is just perfect here as it gives you a bit of a different approach this this war we have all played through a ton of times.

The Right Men For The Job!

As Aircraft Carrier Survival has you in charge of an aircraft carrier, you need to make sure that the officers and crew members are doing what they need to do. There are many different stations that a huge ship like this has and making sure they are all manned by the right people is a huge part of your job. Having the right man, doing the right job is going to make your life a whole lot easier that is for sure.

Can I Just Have Five Minutes!

Before we even get to the “offensive” we have to talk about putting out fires and I mean that literally. From suicide bombers, flooding, getting blasted by a torpedo, the hull getting breached, and more. Aircraft Carrier Survival makes you realize that there are a ton of things that can go wrong when you are out on the high-seas. You may think this sounds easy, oh there is a problem? Just send the right person to deal with it right? Well, yes and no! Most of the time more than one problem will occur at once and deciding what is the priority is why they pay you the big bucks!

Taking The Fight To Them

As this is a badass aircraft carrier, you are also taking the war to the opposing force as well. You need to use evasive maneuvers, anti-aircraft guns, and more to try and keep the aircraft carrier as safe as can be.

You also have various missions that you need to do, you will get mission intel, and then it is up to you to decide what direction to take when you are putting a mission together. I love the idea of this and it is certainly something I can see many people having a lot of fun sinking their teeth into.

Pros:

• I like the idea of being in charge of a badass aircraft carrier
• Planning missions is something I really like
• Having to make split-second decisions adds a great deal to the gameplay
• I love how there is always something that needs your attention

Cons:

• The setting may put some people off
• One wrong decision can wreck your whole game!
