Angry Birds Star Wars 2

Angry Birds - Star Wars 2 is a puzzle video game that offers one of the most unique player experiences that you are ever going to get. This game has you throwing birds around as though you were extremely angry at a local aviary. The gameplay in this looks simple, but it has an interesting problem solving aspect, you have to launch birds at pigs and destroy as many as possible with well-placed aim and by making good use of their individual special abilities. Prepare yourself and let’s catapult into it.

Gameplay

So, you would have to have been living under a rock to not know what Angry Birds is or to know what Star Wars is. Star Wars is an entertainment franchise about space wizards. Angry Birds is a game series about launching birds into pigs until they explode. Now, you’re all caught up. This game combines those two things into a new game that has the same gameplay but with fun new Star Wars twists.

The objective is very much the same as it was in the original game. Just because it shares the same brand name as the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, does not mean it shares the same gameplay. You control a selection of birds which you launch with a catapult at the structures created by the pigs in an attempt to destroy them all. You will need to try a lot of these missions a few times over as some of them are a bit more difficult than they first seemed. Especially as there are a few environmental challenges present in some of the missions.

Things are not very clear cut and straightforward, and some creativity is required when solving the puzzles and defeating the pigs in each mission. Some of the special abilities that a few of your birds will have can change the whole execution. One bird may have a lightsaber that increases its area of damage. Another will use force lightning to destroy everything in front of it. These are just a few of the ways this game pushes its, and your, creativity to a whole new level.

Visuals

The visuals in this title are brilliant. Everything is crisp and clean and easy to see. At no point will you find yourself questioning what you’re looking at or unable to navigate the menus. I found the game a delight to look at from start to finish, especially thanks to them theming everything on screen to match the Star Wars look.

The Music

As this game is set over the prequals, you do get to listen to that awesome prequal music. Some of the finest tunes on any soundtrack ever, and you get to listen to them while hucking birds at pigs dressed as stormtroopers.
