Arcade Paradise

When I saw the first trailer for Arcade Paradise, I knew that this was a game that was for me. I love sim style games and this one being based around building and running an arcade was like a dream game for me! I wanted to take a closer look at this game today and let you guys know why it is on my top ten most anticipated games of 2022 list!

Working For The Man

While the ultimate goal of Arcade Paradise is to run a successful 90s style arcade. Before that you have another job to do and that is running a laundromat that you were put in charge of by your dad (interesting note, the dude doing the voice acting is Geralt from The Witcher) and in the backroom, you find an arcade machine and this is where you get the idea to turn this boring laundromat into an arcade, but it is going to be a lot of hard work to make this happen!

It Is Clogged Again!

You cannot just buy a bunch of arcade machines and call it a day in Arcade Paradise. You have to actually work in the laundromat at first as this is your main source of income. You will have to load the washing, dry it, fix the toilet, keep the place clean and throw out the trash. There is quite a lot to keep you busy so while the idea of working in the laundromat does not sound all that appealing, the variety of what you have to do keeps it from getting boring. Plus, the more money you make, the more you can spend on the arcade!

Building A Classic Arcade

With the money you earn in the laundromat, you can start to build your dream 90s style arcade. There are over 30 different arcade games that you can add to your arcade in Arcade Paradise and what is really cool is that you can play them! From old school classics like an air hockey style game to platformers from the 90s to even a GTA style clone and an F-Zero style racing game. There is a ton of variety here and you can play the games, set high scores, and even play them with a friend. The more games you add, the more money you will make from the arcade side of your business, but you can never neglect your laundromat!

Your Own Arcade

A huge part of the appeal in Arcade Paradise is designing the actual arcade. I already told you that you have a whole bunch of arcade machines from the 8 all the way up to the 32-bit era to purchase for your arcade. However, you can spruce the place up any way you want including a jukebox where you can get some kickass 90s style tunes. I think it is very clever how you want to focus on the arcade, but you cannot take your eye off the ball with your laundromat business either.

Pros:

• It is a game where you get to design your own 90s style arcade
• There are over 30 arcade games and you can actually play them all
• You also have to manage a laundromat in order to make money
• I just love the whole style of the game

Cons:

• Will they add new arcade games to this as time passes?
• If sim and management style games are not usually your cup of tea, this may struggle to win you over
