If you are someone who enjoys playing transport-based games, there are many options on the market today. One new option that has come onto the scene, though, is Bus World. Developed by KishMish Games, this is a very interesting take on the transport game scene. While it provides many of the traditional challenges – in essence, you are driving a bus – Bus World changes it up drastically by offering something a little different. You see, instead of just making your way through the streets of a city, making bus route deliveries, you are running your bus through very challenging environments. Does this quirk give KishMish Games’ latest offering enough to make it stand out from the giants of the industry?

A Transport Game For The Challenge Seeker

First things first - Bus World is tough. It might look like something like Bus Simulator, but it is quite striking in how different it can be. Yes, a lot of the time, you are simply dropping off workers in your customisable bus. Or you are taking tourists to see some amazing custom-built sights. What you can often find yourself doing, though, is dealing with pretty challenging environmental issues.

You might find yourself, for example, trying to drive your bus alongside a fiery volcano-like explosion. Or, you might need to deal with a man-made disaster where you need to do all that you can to help them avert a crisis. This adds a bit of extra jeopardy to the experience, and it is one of the main reasons why Bus World is quite a bit different from other bus-related games.

Most of the time, you are enjoying a serene drive around some very nice cities. The next moment, though, you are springing into action to deal with a disaster such as a flood or a fire. It is pretty exciting, though not without its challenges.

A Foundation For Something Excellent (8/10)

When paired with the excellent bus customisation, Bus World offers a lot of interesting features that make it quite different from your usual transport sim. The environments are daring and engaging, but one thing we will say is that the visuals are not exactly amazing. Compared to other transport games such as the Truck Simulator series, you are probably going to be underwhelmed at the visuals.

• Environments often lose their lustre the closer you get to the location
• Challenging in the extreme at times; it probably needs some refinement
