Nintendo knows its party games but there’s one more company out there that can make fun for the whole family. Disney and their iconic characters star in this collection over 10 mini-games to enjoy both online and offline. Better yet, Mickey and Co. are in their plushy tsum tsum forms for extra cuteness. Whether you’re looking to hang out with your family and kids or simply love Disney IPs, Disney Tsum Tsum Festival may be for you.

Here’s everything you need to know about Disney Tsum Tsum Festival.

Party Gaming Fun for the Family

Disney’s party game is fun for the whole family and, as such, a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch. The game is jam-packed with mini-games for all ages to enjoy. Spinner Battler will remind you of classic spinning top battles from the playground. Round n’ Round Run will tickle your jewel collection fancies.

And of course the classic Match Three from the Japanese mobile Disney Tsum Tsum game. You’ll have to play the game in handheld mode and vertically but it gets quite competitive when you’re head-to-head with your friends and family.

Multiplayer Mania

Speaking of multiplayer, you can enjoy all of Disney Tsum Tsum Festival’s mini-game bonanza in all kinds of multiplayer modes. Couch co-op means that you can play with your family and friends in the same room using up to 4 controllers. If you’ve got more than one Switch or Switch Lite, you can play ad-hock wireless multiplayer, though you’ll have to tolerate the chaos happening on the device’s small screen. Finally, most of the games can also be played online against random opponents and, of course, your Nintendo Online friends.

Bobbing for Tsum Tsums

Throughout your sessions of Disney Tsum Tsum Festival, you’ll be earning coins that you can use to play Lost Treasure to unlock more characters. The game allows you to try your luck with Present Bubbles by spending 10,000 for the chance of unlocking a random tsum tsum. On the other hand, you can use your coins in the coin pusher style Lost Treasure game to win the featured Disney Tsum Tsum character.

It’s a bit of an odd thing to include but if you would like to start a tsum tsum collection, then this is where you’ll be spending your time.

The Bottom Line

Disney Tsum Tsum Festival is a bit of an odd choice for a game. It’s a fully priced game based on a free-to-play mobile game from Japan. It’s definitely targetted towards families but the mini-games are quite fast-paced and could be too hard for young players.

The coin system also seems somewhat skewed towards pushing you to play Lost Treasure, which is equally random to picking up Present Bubbles.

Pros

  • Flashy and colorful graphics make it fun for the entire family
  • Plenty of multiplayer options that work for all of the mini-games

Cons

  • Single-player mode is just a series of random mini-games with no story
  • The coin system could have been better thought out
  • Some of the mini-games may be too hard for younger players
