Based on the Goosebumps HorrorLand books, the video game is directly tied in with the books. So now fans of the books get to experience playing through the horrifying stories from Goosebumps. The game takes place in a horror theme park, and in it, you will have to overcome a lot of challenges to be able to escape from this horrifying place. Also, it is important to remember that while the game isn’t extremely scary, it might still be a lot for little kids, so just be sure to keep that in mind.

Escape The Park

The story begins when the main characters receive a ticket from the HorrorLand, to participate in its opening night. However, you show no interest in going to it and decide to tear the ticket apart. But to your surprise, it somehow magically puts itself back together, and right after that happens, your friend knocks on your door, also with a ticket for HorrorLand in his hand, and convinces you to join him. So that was enough to make you go, and eventually, you and your friend arrive at the park. But little did you know that every horrible thing in the park is completely real and that every monster can hurt you.

While the game shows a lot of terrifying concepts, the actual scary part doesn't translate that well to the players. In all honesty, the game has a lot of cheesy puns, just like the books, and it is a pretty fun experience to have. To be able to escape from the park, you will need to ride through a lot of its attractions, and all of them are some fun mini-games that you have to do. And you will also be rewarded depending on how well you do on the mini-game, you can earn bronze, silver, and gold frights. And while there are a good number of mini-games, after some time they get a bit repetitive, and in all honesty, some of them are just bad. Also, since the game has to be played using a Wii remote if you ever used one before, you know that sometimes using it can be extremely frustrating. But this doesn’t mean that there are some good and fun mini-games to play.

Goosebumps HorrorLand is a fun game, especially for those who are a fan of the Goosebumps books. The game has a lot of mini-games, making it a bit similar to games like Mario Party, and Pummel Party. The game attempts to deliver a unique experience, and while it has some issues that can be frustrating at times, it does a great job at setting an amazing atmosphere, that at times really make you feel like you’re playing through one of the books.
