Well, a game just like that exists, and it is called Iggle Pop Deluxe.

Iggle Pop Deluxe is developed and published by PopCap Games, the creators of iconic games such as Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies, and Peggle. In it, you will take on an adventure in the Land of Fuzz to save multi-colored Iggles from the nefarious Zoogs. Are you ready to dive into a mission to save an entire race of fluffy alien creatures? Fast-Paced Rescue Mission

Iggle Pop Deluxe plays out on a top-down screen that resembles something like Pac-Man, with lanes and walls dividing up the space. Spread out across these play areas are different colors of Iggles. Players step into the tiny, fluffy body of an Iggle on a rescue mission to save its brethren.

Walking over the other Iggles will make them fall in line and follow you, creating a fuzzy trail behind you. The more you collect, the higher your score will be! But, be careful, as most levels have Zoogs that patrol the game area, and if they touch one of your Iggles, it’ll spell doom for them.

With the Iggles following you, you’ll then need to walk over to one of the home bubbles that have the same colors as the Iggles you have following you. This is how they get teleported to safety before the Zoogs can get to them.

Tactical Thinking

As you progress through levels, the number and aggression of the Zoogs’ tactics will increase. The only thing you have to counterbalance their treachery is your smarts and a dash move to get out of trouble quickly.

When you have a trail of Iggles following you, you’ll have to make use of the safe spaces of the map to make sure the stragglers at the end of the line don’t get captured. That can mean taking the long way around, doubling back to try to time the Zoogs’ movements, and using that dash to give the entire line a little boost so you can get them to safety.

Hours and Hours of Gameplay

If you think the opening levels of Iggle Pop Deluxe are fun, then strap in because there are 150 unique levels in the game, with a steadily increasing level of challenge that’ll keep even the best players engaged the entire time.
