Kronos: Titan of Time

Kronos: Titan of Time is a two-dimensional role-playing platformer with pixel graphics where the protagonist, Kronos, a character from Greek mythology, embarks on a long and dangerous adventure to compete for the throne on Olympus.

Mythology

The ancient Greeks brought to this world a system of mythology that has been passed from mouth to mouth for centuries. Tales of the Gods of Olympus entered the minds of millions of ordinary people far beyond Greece. These beliefs were created long before the major world religions and greatly influenced Western philosophy. Cronus is a cruel being. Everyone knows the picture of him eating his children. Devouring everything in his path the King of the Titans, but he wasn't always like that either...

Gameplay

The player will find himself in the role of a young Kronos who is just beginning his journey. Kronos' task is to climb to the very top of Olympus. The road will be difficult... He will have to jump on earthen platforms and try not to fall on thorns, not to get burnt in a pit with lava and just not to fall down. Also sometimes the protagonist will have to avoid falling rocks and run through narrow mazes. The character collects gold coins and can regenerate health by collecting sacred wine. Kronos is endowed with three lives, which are rapidly running out, because the game has many dangerous areas for the character's health. If we talk about the enemies of Kronos, they depend on the location:

• If you are fighting already inside Olympus, you are attacked by guards in golden armor. Knights never walk alone, so be careful.
• At the foot of the mountain fly large eagles that feed on living people. They accelerate and fly with their sharp beaks right at you.
• Eventually the player will fight the boss, Zeus. A long health bar and super-powerful lightning attacks make the boss strong. Zeus moves fast and is considered the master of Olympus for a reason.
• Giant frogs, which are covered in poisonous liquid jump right at Kronos. They are quite massive, so they easily knock the main character down

The player is armed with a sharp scythe, so getting close to him will be a difficult task for the enemy.

Maps

I would like to note the beauty of the locations. The artists squeezed the maximum out of the pixel graphics. The backgrounds are always picturesque. You can see a golden castle in the distance, snowy mountain peaks stick out into the clouds, a mysterious dark forest stands a few kilometers away, the sunset over the sea casts sweet thoughts. Speaking of visuals - when the player runs near the water, you can see a reflection on its surface, you even want to stop and look there.

Caves without light, night cliffs, snow fields, palace rooms made of gold - the player will travel through such places. There are save points on the map to ease your plight a bit.
