Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Capcom games has announced the release of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, a compilation of all the games in the popular series. The sizable series, which is made up of 10 different games, will be released April 14, 2023. The bundle will be available on Switch, Playstation, and PC through the Steam platform as well. If you aren’t familiar with the Megan Man Battle Network, here is what it includes:

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Many players are excited for this release because the games in this collection are ones that they grew up with. As time goes on even popular games can sometimes disappear, and finding old copies of the game can become nearly impossible.

Capcom has released Mega Man collections before, most notably the Mega Man Anniversary Collection. This game separates itself from the other collections with an exciting new feature that changes how people play.

New Features

The new collection offers Chip Trading as well as online battling. The game will also include a gallery of images and 188 songs as part of the collection. It also offers a high-resolution filter that takes the graphics from the somewhat grainy graphics of the past to a more streamlined version.

The ability to play against friends will likely add a lot of play value to the game, and make individual battles a lot more fun. It’s an aspect of the collection many players, old and new alike, are looking forward to. The new online battling will offer several different modes. Players will be able to get private rooms to play with just their friends, battle strangers in Casual Mode, or try to become the number one battler in the game with Ranked Matches. No matter how competitive you are in the game, there’s something for you in the new online community.

Graphics Still Aren’t Great

Despite the filter, the graphics are still very basic. There’s nothing wrong with this as the familiar graphics are part of the nostalgia factor, but if you are expecting graphics that take your breath away, you will not be getting them. The new filter is still a big improvement over past graphics, while keeping the authentic feel of the artwork.
