Smintheus is a 2D puzzle game in which you help mice to get rid of a stalking mad cat. He chases mice with manic rage, though he's not hungry at all - it reminds the plot of Tom and Jerry cartoon. But the mice here are not ordinary, but very smart and is able to create different devices to achieve their goals.

The plot

The main character is a mouse named Gerald, a talented inventor who was forced to flee from his native den because of the danger of being neighbors with a cat named Longshanks. But his best friend named Lanky is back at home, and Gerald dreams of getting back as soon as possible. Help the mouse find his way home and find out why the cunning cat is so persistent in his pursuit of the gray kid.

Gameplay

The game is similar to classic adventure-research projects like ZZT and Commander Keen, with RPG and survival elements. In addition to the cat, you will be hunted by various animals - mice have many enemies.

By completing additional missions you will get access to new skills and bonuses, but you do not have to do all the tasks - you can focus only on the main mission.
