If you are looking for a deck-building game int the next couple of weeks, look no further than Super Bullet Break. This is a game developed by BeXide Inc, and published by PQube. It mixes anime, with card-building and turn-based combat.
Girls vs Evil AI
As much as this look like a completely family friendly title, Super Bullet Break has insinuating characters and designs all around. This game takes its aestethic inspirations from the popular gacha games. It is a very color-heavy, wild game that allows players to explore over one-hundred and sixty characters. Despite what the name might suggest each of the characters and girls is a “Bullet” and each of them are unique in their own way.
The main mission here is to rescue the online gaming world from ultimate destruction. Since an evil AI has taken control of the games, you are tasked with defeating enemies and restoring order to the online gaming community. Players start with a limited amount of characters, but as the game progresses you are able to collect new bullets along the way.
From there it is up to you to design the perfect team for each battle. There are also multiple items that have special interactions and combinations with different bullets. This is separated types of items, that range from common to legendary, and function in an active or passive manner.
As you embark on your journey as Akari, Hikaru, or Sumire you will encounter different playstyles. They are the overarching themes that guide your gameplay. Throughout the seven different maps, you’ll surely recognize different game styles being represented through the level design and artstyle.
The game has a large influence from oriental culture, and a kawaii feeling to it. It also embodies the best part of the gatcha games, which is the highly addictive, replayable and fast-paced games. And removes the worst part of it which is the constant need for cash, for in-game purchases. The game does have an in-game currency, but players don’t need to pay for anything once the game is purchased.
This is a title that relies heavily on its gameplay, and challenging designs to provide replayability. Since the story of the game itself seem extremely simplistic, and without much room for improvement. If you enjoy turn-based combats, and highly customizable card games, this might be a great game for you in the upcoming weeks. The user experience is friendly enough, but the UI itself can seem a little polluted at times.
This might not be the game for everyone, since turn-based games are require more patience, and strategy than what most gamers are looking for these days. This title alos has a very sexualized character design, and might not be friendly for every player.
- High Replayability
- Hundreds of characters and weapons
- Simple Gameplay
- Turn-Based Games are Slow-Paced
- Replaybility Might Be Low
- Not Family Friendly
