The game puts together characters from Capcom, and from various anime characters that were produced by Tatsunoko Production. The game was originally released only in Japan, but fans from all over the world demanded to play the game, Capcom was able to resolve some international licensing problems and was able to release an International version of the game.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate Stars, puts players to fight with a team of two characters, or with a single giant character. The game is set in a 2D environment, but all characters and backgrounds are rendered in three-dimensional graphics. This is similar to games like Marvel vs Capcom, and Capcom vs SNK. One of the greatest aspects of the game is that not only is it approachable for newcomers, but it also has in-depth mechanics for players who want to dive deeper into the game.

But the Ultimate All-Stars version of the game doesn’t have the Original Games mode but instead offers a shooter mini-game that takes place in the Lost World world. This version always has an online mode, so that you can play against all types of players.
