In case it is not obvious, TEKKEN 7 Ultimate Edition is the ultimate edition of the already fantastic 7 part of the franchise. It is crazy to think that I have been playing this series for like 25 years at this point! I feel that the series is one of the greatest fighting games of all time, it would easily make my top three and I would have to say that 7 here could be my favorite in the history of the entire franchise!

Family Drama

There is a story mode in TEKKEN 7 Ultimate Edition and it is an absolute riot. The whole Tekken saga revolves around the King of the Iron Fist tournament and the crazy drama that comes from the Mishima clan, Heihachi, and his son Kazuya.

The story mode is a ton of fun as it does not take itself too seriously at all and I liked how it bounced around and let us play as different characters. As well as the story mode, you also have your arcade mode and other gameplay modes for both single and multiplayer as well.

Refined And Accessible

One of the best things about this series and TEKKEN 7 Ultimate Edition takes it to a whole new level is the gameplay. Tekken is a series that can be enjoyed by anyone. It has very easy to follow gameplay mechanics making it a game that is fun to pick up and play. However, for those that wish to learn there is a real level of complexity to this fighting game. This game is the most technical in the series yet, but not at the expense of the fun. New features such as rage art and power crush add even more depth to the gameplay. Things just feel a lot more deliberate this time around.

What Makes This Ultimate?

As we are talking about TEKKEN 7 Ultimate Edition, you may be wondering what makes this version of the game better than the base? With the Ultimate Edition, you are getting both the season passes for seasons 1 and 2 which adds in a bunch of new characters, stages, costumes, and so on.

Your Fighter!

One of the craziest things about this game is the level of customization it allows you. Each character can be changed in a ton of different ways. I do not think that I have played a fighting game before that offers this level of customization!

You can do all kinds of crazy stuff with the characters here. Plus, as this game looks like a million bucks, it makes all of the fun costumes and accessories you can give the characters that extra bit better.

I am a massive fan of this series and I would have to say that TEKKEN 7 Ultimate Edition is my favorite to date. This is just such a complete package; it is jam-packed with content and at the end of the day it is just such a fun game to play. It is amazing that even after all these years they are able to make this a fighting game that is both deep and also accessible for those who just want to have fun too.
