Assassins Creed VR

The Assassin’s Creed series has delivered us with some of the most memorable games in entirely different locations and time periods throughout the years. Now players will be able to experience one of their favourite games but with enhanced capabilities, virtual reality. Originally created as a fully immersed experience to help promote the then upcoming film adaption of the game, the now highly anticipated VR game is currently expected to be released sometime in late 2022 or early 2023. While we don’t know too much about the upcoming release, it’s clear that this will be a truly unique experience for both fans of the game series and the un-initiated as well.

What We Know

Ubisoft’s Red Storm is heading up the project, while they will also be working in tandem with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Dusseldorf and Ubisoft Mumbai to deliver a highly thought out game and experience for its fans.

While there is very little known about the game itself, storyline etc., fans can expect an entirely new experience altogether from anything they may have played in the past. The story is expected to be entirely new, featuring new characters, locations, villains and even gameplay mechanics. What we can expect is updated features that ensure the game runs smoothly with little to no glitches throughout combat scenes and cut scenes. The game is also expected to be larger than ever before, with more in depth missions and overall campaign, fans can expect a truly unique experience whenever they decide to release it.

Ubisoft VR Experience

Ubisoft had created an escape room style experience years ago for their game where fans would enter the room, completely setup for VR gaming, where a number of different escape games were available such as Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Escape the Lost Pyramid. The experience found players locked in a cave where they would need to overcome adversity to complete challenges and make their way out.

While this won’t be the same experience for those who buy a copy of the upcoming game, it’s a nice taste for what’s to come in the future. Ubisoft rolled out over 100 locations around the world for this experience and fans filled in as fast as possible.

Pros:

• Expect well planned, detail storylines only made better with the fully immersive technology that is virtual reality

Cons:

• It is too soon to tell, yet if this game is not properly planned and rushed to be released there may be lackluster experiences for fans of the series
