Conan Chop Chop

There is nothing better than playing a game that is straight forward. You go in, kill enemies, collect gold, clear dungeons, and defeats bosses. Are you a fan of the Conan series? Well, you may have guessed it; we are talking about Conan. But not just any regular old Conan, but Conan Chop Chop.

Game storyline

When you load the game, you will immediately fall in love with graphics. Unless of course, you like the old style RPG games that do not use chibi as it’s the art style. If you are a long time of Conan from the years 2008 until 2018 then this may be a shock to you. The developers at FunCom do not develop this game.

This game was developed by a game developer named the Might Kingdom. So there is not as much as gory and juicy scenes as the old Conan had. Instead, you have the chibi styled with chop chop. The name of the game and the art style go hand in hand. You may find that this game is very fun and interactive to play with.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the game, the storyline starts with the evil wizard named Thoth Amon plotting the lure Conan and friends. Thoth wants to lure the lure him to bring back the ancient evil Xaltotun. This would all Thoth to turn his greatest enemy into his greatest ally. And that is about all the storyline that you will get out of this game. It’s clear that the focus of this game was more on the gameplay than on the actual story. Speaking of gameplay, this is where you may love or hate the game. The game requires a lot of patience and luck.

The game starts with Conan starting in the middle of the town with some gold to buy weapons or upgrades. From there you can move in any direction and start defeating enemies. Now whether you have been out there for 5 minutes or an hour, if you die you go right back to the start of the game. That is right. No money, any dungeons cleared will not be cleared anymore and you must start all over again. This can be a little help because items at the beginning of the game are randomly generated. Meaning you may score and get a high-end weapon at the beginning of the game. High-end weapons are like night and day. To make gameplay more enjoyable, you can invite up to 3 other friends to help you slay enemies. The only problem here is the game does not adjust to the number of players in the game. Great for defeating enemies. Bad for trying to split loot evening between you and your teammates.

My rating/verdict of the game

Conan Chop Chop out of 10 would get a strong 7 from my view. I enjoyed the art style of the game. Really felt like it was well thought out and came across cute a hidden level of changeling gameplay. There really is not any storyline to the game. There was only the beginning part with the whole wizard named Thoth Amen.

It starts out strong with that part of the storyline and kind of just fades. The game requires a lot of patience which can be seen as something that you will either love or hate. The game also has an element of luck. Which can be really annoying if you are a well-skilled player. The gameplay however is straightforward; kill enemies, collect gold, clear dungeons, and defeat bosses.
