Granny Simulator

Imagine being asked to take care of your beloved grandson for a few hours to help your kids out. You agree, thinking you’ll get time to bond with your grandchild and make those warm and glowing memories—then your dream is shattered, along with your head, by the kid with a hammer. This is what Granny Simulator boils down to. The game requires two people, with one person playing the Granny and one person playing the Grandchild. The Grandchild is constantly trying to kill Granny with objects he can throw at her, while Granny must fend him off and also complete her everyday tasks.

Hilarious gameplay

As you can imagine, this game is not meant to be taken seriously. You can punt the grandson through the window to buy yourself more time to get your household chores done. You can kill him back. Grandson has a wide choice of different weapons to attack you with but may have to find keys to get some of the more elaborate ones. Gameplay is fairly balanced, and it’s possible to win both as grandma and as grandson. It is a bit harder to win as grandma, but nothing too terrible.

Poor Graphics

Many people who have played this game got it as a joke at first. The graphics in this game are very poor. Neither grandma nor grandson have hair, there’s a distinct lack of detail, and the whole thing looks like it is bargain basement quality. While the graphics definitely don’t shine, the hilariousness of the game does make up for it. It’s very similar to the game “Who’s Your Daddy” right down to the cheap graphics, but instead of trying to keep the baby alive, your pepper spraying them to keep them from killing you.

Not as fun without friends

While Granny Simulator does have a solo option, it’s not nearly as fun without friends. Other people are rarely on the server, so if you want to have a chance to play it and get the full value of it, you’ll need to play with another person. This means finding another person who agrees to buy a copy of the game because split screen is not available.

Abandoned Game

The last known update of this game was in 2019. Although there have been many requests for updates by players who enjoy the game, it appears that it has been abandoned. If you buy this thinking it will only improve, you may find yourself disappointed. Fortunately at it’s current price point, purchasing it as is seems fair.

• Not fun as a solo player
