Metal: Hellsinger

I have to say that Metal: Hellsinger is a game that feels like it was created specifically for me! It is a first-person shooter with metal music and the music actually has an effect on the gameplay. This game has the potential to be the best and most unique first-person shooter that is released in 2022. I for one could not be any more excited. Mixing a first-person shooter with a rhythm game is the kind of thing that just sounds so odd, but my goodness have they managed to pull it off!

Fighting Your Way Through Hell

With an action/horror movie kind of plot, Metal: Hellsinger has you needing to traverse the various pits of hell as you make your way to The Red Judge as you quench your thirst for vengeance as you do. The whole thing looks epic, I would describe it as kind of like a rock opera version of Doom. For me personally, not many other games top this one here when it comes to how epic I feel the story is. Plus, it is narrated by Troy Baker so it gets major points for that.

Slaying To The Beat

If you were to watch the trailer for Metal: Hellsinger with the sound turned off, it may look like another badass first-person shooter. However, music plays a big part in this game. You see, you can just shoot the various hellspawn anyway that you want. However, if you can shoot them to the beat of the music, you will be rewarded with more powerful shots! It is the kind of thing that sounds like it would never work in a million years, but it makes the shooting in this game feel far cooler and fun.

The Sectors Of Hell

When you think of hell, the way that the last two Doom games did it is probably what comes to mind. While Metal: Hellsinger has much of that red, grey, and old-timey hellish look about it. The different parts of hell that you will be traversing here are quite varied ranging from an ice-covered area to a part of hell that is so messed up it very well may make you mad. The crazy creature designs and the badass look of the weapons in the game just add to the cool factor that this thing has going on.

Bang Your Head!

I am a huge metal fan and this game has the best soundtrack of any game to be released in 2022. Metal: Hellsinger features all original metal songs that have been created for the game specifically. They have managed to get some big-time metal vocalists to be part of the game. There are three that I am a huge fan of and those are, Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, and Randy Blyth from Lamb of God. They managed to get some awesome talent here and the soundtrack if you are a metal head is truly epic!

Pros:

• They have got nine epic metal vocalists on board for this game
• I am very impressed with their creative vision of hell!
• The way it blends first-person shooter gameplay with rhythm-based gameplay is very cool
• No other game in 2022 is this badass!

Cons:

• If you hate metal music, you will probably struggle to get into this
• How hard will it be to shoot to the beat?
