Monster Hunter Frontier Z

Online features are the bread and butter of the gaming industry nowadays. Now, it’s harder to find standalone, single-player games with no online features, which is sad, as there should be somewhat of a balance. This unequal business led to franchises aiming toward the online direction, with the aim of catching the attention of those who left single-player games behind. That’s how the MMORPG sub-genre of RPGs was born. Of course, adding online features to games gives you the chance to add whatever you like and then put a price tag on it, and that’s what Monster Hunter did with its Monster Hunter Frontier and its expansions, being one of the most relevant ones Monster Hunter Frontier Z.

Z Stands for Zenith

Monster Hunter Frontier Z is an expansion of Monster Hunter Frontier. Usually, the expansions of this game only add a handful of new monsters to hunt, some extra missions, and a new area, and that’s pretty much it. Monster Hunter Frontier Z is not an exception, as it adds a plethora of new beasts and monsters that you’ll enjoy.

There are three new Monsters: The Eruzerion, the Zenaserisu, and the Keoaruboru. These three Titans will complicate the game by a lot!

After that, there are plenty of new lesser monsters, exactly, 18 new species to find and kill. These new monsters are Zenith versions of monsters we already saw, like Toridcless, Gasurabazura, and many more.

Lastly, we have the Painted Waterfalls; a new place full of life and colors. It has caves, hidden places, cliffs, and much more!

The Premium Pack

But that’s not all, as this expansion also had the Premium Pack, which added a small list of weapons up for grabs. We go from Swords and Shields, going through Switch Axes until reaching the Bows, which are very powerful!

There’s also a new armor, named Evoru Armor, which gives you a lot of new perks to your hunter.

It feels just a small piece of content considering it was meant to be a premium thing that only a few players will have. It’s cool to have new armor and some weapons but, they only shine, and you’ll find better options by playing as usual. As always, the Pay-To-Win concept doesn’t always apply, as there will be moments, like this one, where you pay, but you won’t win much.

It’s fair to say this expansion lacks a bit of content. It adds several new monsters and a new big location but, aside from that, there’s not much else to do here. The battles against the monsters are a great thing, that’s true, and it’ll take you a lot of time but, afterward, you’ll drain everything this expansion has to offer.
