Operation: Tango is a game that I have been very excited to get my grubby little hands on. This game has been on more and more people’s radars lately. Not only is the game coming to Steam, but it will also be one of the “free” games for PlayStation Plus users in June too. This is a multiplayer only game and you must have a microphone in order to play that so be sure to know that before coming into this world of high-tech espionage!
It Takes Two To Make It Work!
The setting of Operation: Tango is the future and I get some real Mirrors Edge vibes from the setting and style of the game. Do I say that about every game that is set in the future? Well, I do say it a lot, but I really do think that it is a good comparison for what we have going on here with this game.
There is an elite team of two that will be sent all over the world to take part in various dangerous missions. It takes two to tango and these two are the best around at getting the job done! I love the whole presentation of the game it has a real comic book and cyberpunk lite kind of thing going on and it makes the world it is set in very interesting to me.
Two Heads Are Better Than One
Operation: Tango is online multiplayer only and it is a game that is all about communicating with your partner. One of you will be playing as the hacker and the other will be playing as the agent. It is like one of you is Spider-Man and the other is Ned, his guy in the chair. The agent will have to make their way through a level, subduing the enemy and taking care of business. The hacker on the other hand needs to stay out of harm’s way, utilizing their tech skills and gadgets to hack various systems all over the world.
It is working together where the gameplay really shines. For example, the hacker opening an area for the agent. Or the agent taking down an enemy that is causing the hacker problem. Communication is the key and you will 100 percent have to work together to get through the game. You have a bunch of high-tech tools to solve these fun puzzles, but working together and thinking outside the box as if you are a true secret agent will be the key to success.
Friends With Benefits
I want to take a moment to talk about the way you play this with other people To start with on Steam the game supports Friends Pass so if you have the game and your friend does not, you can hook them up and still play together. Also, Operation: Tango is offering cross platform play. As this game is going to be given away as part of PlayStation Plus this month, it should mean that there is a strong player base.
I think that Operation: Tango is a great idea for a game and one that is sure to be a lot of fun. While I am certain, it is going to be a good time playing with someone random. I think the real joy of this game will be playing with someone you know as you guys try to work out the best way to complete a mission without swearing at each other!
