In Palia, you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to. You can play the game in what ever way you see fit, and Palia won’t punish you for it. In this life simulator meets high fantasy, you’ll get to create your own custom human character, and enter the world of Palia to cook, go fishing, and explore. The game is also an MMO as well as a life sim, which means you can do all these things with your friends or other community members.

Animal Crossing Fantasy Version

When you first look at the game, it’s obvious their roots came from the popular game, Animal Crossing. Although it was likely inspired by this game and has a lot of similarities, Palia puts its own spin on this by being a fun, high fantasy version instead of a standard life sim.

Palia also noticeably has better social features, and even has future plans to implement a kind of localized voice chat as they continue their development so that people can talk with each other if they are close enough in the game. The game follows a kind of Animal Crossing meets Stardew Valley storyline inside the realm of Palia. The goal is for people to live their ideal fantasy life, starting with building a home and exploring your world, while also letting you cook, fish, and garden.

Unique neighborhood system

Rather than have the standard ‘guilds’ of other fantasy games, Palia has developed neighborhoods. You can choose what neighborhood to be in. The goal is to be able to group you with friends so that you’ll be able to go on adventures and have fun with your friends.

At this time, no PvP is planned for the game, but there is talk about developing fishing competitions against each other so you’ll still be able to interact in a positive way.

Colorful Art Style

Trailers and art previews of the game also reveal that the graphics will be an enjoyable part of the experience. The graphics are crisp and clear, and the backdrops are sweeping and beg to be explored. Many of the backgrounds are as practical as they are beautiful. The kitchen unlocks cooking, the garden unlocks gardening, and so on.

It’s difficult to guess at how good a game will be before it comes out, but Palia makes this one easy. The trailers and descriptions make it very clear what a warm and wonderful world you’ll be coming to. We know from the games it is similar to how fun life sims can be, and the improvements made on it from there make it an exciting new addition to the gaming community.
