The premise for Sol Cresta is simple – Humanity has taken a vicious beating at the hands of Mandler during a solar invasion of the species. Humans have been forced to retreat to Laomedeia, one of the moons of Neptune, after being forced to flee Earth. The solar recovery squad, Sol Cresta, is invested in to try and provide one last hope of overcoming Mandler and taking back their planet.

Fitted with high-class technology, users take control of the Yamato and will be tasked with a simple mission: save your species.

High octane shooter madness in a modern skin

The first thing that you will notice upon watching content about Sol Cresta is the old-school trappings in a modern environment. While the art style harks back to a long-gone era, the menus, the features, and the general playability are very much a modern creation. The end result is a game that looks like something from an old-school arcade, but plays like a game that is being released in the modern era.

Fans will immediately notice similarities to other shooters of the same style, though its most obvious comparisons are the original Terra and Moon Cresta games.

This should leave fans with an impeccable gaming experience that feels easy to master and very satisfying to play around with. The game will take much from the original Moon Cresta and Terra Cresta games, but will build upon them massively with new features and ideas to try and really capture the heart of the matter. A new take on a classic franchise

The idea of Sol Cresta is quite simple – take the original two games, combine the best parts, and create a best-of-both-worlds approach. One thing to note is that the Yamato, the ship you fly, will also be paired-up with three ships – the Amaterasu, the Tsukuyomi, and the Susano. All three ships will need to be aligned accordingly to give the flagship specific powers.
