Yomawari 3 is the latest installment in the Yomawari saga. It is a perfect game for those who enjoy survival horror games, as it has a really horrifying and dark atmosphere. You won't have to fight any types of monsters in this game. Your only objective is to survive and hide from spirits, so it is perfect for those that are looking for a more light horror experience. In Yomawari 3, you get to control this nameless girl who mysteriously found herself in a forest without any of her memories and must now find a way to get back home.

Escape From The For

After waking up in a dark and strange forest, our protagonist, a strange girl with no name, must wander around this weird place until she can finally find a way to leave the forest. However, while looking for a way out, she stumbles across a strange figure with no form that informs her that she is cursed and that to be able to be free of it, she needs to remember her forgotten memories. So with no other choice, she must now venture into this forest and search around a nearby town in order to escape.

Your only mission is to survive and escape spirits, and you are only equipped with a flashlight to help you navigate through the darkness, some items, and environmental elements to help you hide from the spirits that are trying to stop you. Yomawari 3 is similar to other horror games like Outlast and Amnesia in this aspect, where you don't have any means to fight back against the monsters that are chasing you.

Yomawari 3 has no connection to its other two previous games, so if you're new to the series and this specific one interested you, you're in luck, as you can simply play this one. Yomawari games have such charming graphics and such a charming atmosphere, which ends up making the game even creepier. Since the art is cute, the scary moments are even more horrifying and unsettling. There isn't any combat, but the game is still pretty intense, as fleeing from the spirits is intense and will for sure make you get scared.

In conclusion, Yomawari 3 is a great game, and while it is already available in Japan, it sadly has not been yet released to the rest of the world, so we might have to wait a bit more before being able to play it. While it is a bit disappointing that we have to wait a little longer, it is an excellent opportunity for those who haven't played the other two games to do so, as it can help you get used to how the game plays in its mechanics.
