EDENGATE: The Edge of Life

While they have been very cagy about the details when it comes to EDENGATE: The Edge of Life, I have already seen and heard enough about this game to know that it is something for me. What we have here is a very story rich kind of adventure that features a very bleak kind of mystery story for you to unravel as you progress through the game. This is the perfect game for you guys that love to play single-player story driven experiences that really stick with you for a while after you have beaten them.

The Mystery Of Edengate!

I will admit that the fact that they are keeping their cards so close to their chest in regards to the story that EDENGATE: The Edge of Life is telling is a huge reason as to why I am so excited for this game. What we know is that we play as a young woman called Mia who also happens to be a very gifted scientist. Mia has awoken inside a hospital that appears to be abandoned with no memory of what has happened to her. Things get stranger as she soon realizes that the city of Edengate is strange, deserted and something dangerous is most certainly happening. The game is about Mia, uncovering what went down here and trying to get to the bottom of not just what happened to this place, but also what happened to her!

Solving One Piece Of The Mystery At A Time

What we know about the gameplay of EDENGATE: The Edge of Life is that it is a very puzzle driven kind of narrative adventure game. Playing as Mia, we will have to explore each area of Edengate as we make our way deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole as we figure out what really went down here. The game is played from the third-person point of view and features some very interesting puzzles for us to solve as we move from location to location in this large and very strange city.

Bring Me To Life!

One of the things that is really going to do a great job when it comes to getting people invested in what is happening in EDENGATE: The Edge of Life is the way that the story is presented. The game has a very slick style to the graphics and while they are not as realistic or as amazing as say something like The Last of Us. They have managed to bring this strange world to life very well and there is a real uneasy feeling you get when exploring. The game also boasts some incredible voice acting and this is certainly going to do wonders when it comes to bringing the story to life.

Pros:

• The whole mystery of what is happening is very interesting
• Mia is a good character to play as
• The puzzles are tricky, but not frustrating
• It is the kind of game that will make you want to keep playing so you can see what happens next

Cons:

• If you are not into mystery and slow burn stories, this may not capture your attention
• Why are they being so secretive about every aspect of the game?
