Get ready to blast off into the stars with this exciting new simulator. Flight of Nova lets you get in the pilot’s chair in a spaceship of your very own and fly around a full-scale planet. The game includes realistic aerodynamics and orbital physics, so you’ll feel like you’re really flying. The game offers a series of missions for you to fly in various aircraft, as well as a “rogue mode” that lets you explore the world freely. As you explore the world more and learn more about why you are there and what you are doing, more content will unlock for you.

Lack of good UI

The User Interface is not as good as it could be. This may be due to the fact that there is only a demo available, and the game itself is not scheduled for early release until the end of May. Despite this, the controls are good, and the movement feels realistic.

If the developers improve the UI so that the game is easier to use, it will greatly improve the playability of the game. In particular, it would be easier if you could tell how much fuel was remaining or how far what you have will go without having to do the math yourself.

Very detailed simulator

The game makes you take everything into account while playing, from fuel conservation to get to far away corners of the planet, to avoiding damaging the ship while landing. The game has comparable movement to Star Citizen, but with just one full sized planet rather than the entire vastness of space. With just one planet however, the game offers a lot more detail on the worlds as compared to Star Citizen, with lots of hidden outposts and other exciting details to explore. Your fuel, response to gravity, and even wind all add to the realism of the game as you explore this vast world.

Beautiful graphics

Although the world you will be flying around and conducting missions on is virtually lifeless, it’s nonetheless breathtaking. The world looks real, and the ships are very detailed. The characters themselves are a bit less detailed but considering most of the time you’ll be looking at the planet or the ship, it hardly matters.

More than just a planet

As well as the vast, full-scale planet you have to explore, there are also space stations available to keep you busy. You may find yourself delivering goods between the space station and the planet or searching for and transporting people or goods.

You’ll also be able to access more spacecraft by completing missions. There’s a modest storyline available as you playthrough the missions, talking about how you came to be exploring this lost world and why.
