Hairdresser Simulator

As soon as I saw Hairdresser Simulator pop up in my recommended games list, I knew I had to give it a try. My sister is a hairdresser so it is an occupation that I have always at least had a little interest in. Plus, I have a great set of long flowing locks of my own so hair care is something I do think is important. There are “simulator” games for pretty much everything these days, but this is the first time I have come across one that is set in the world of hairdressing!

Chopping Your Way To The Top

The premise of Hairdresser Simulator is that we want to build our own hairdressing empire and be the best in the city. We of course, start with a rather humble hairdressing studio, but the goal is to build up a large list of return customers as well as new ones so that you can make a ton of cash. From here, you can then build more hairdressing studios around the city and have a huge empire! It is such an addictive game and even if you do not think hairdressing sounds all that interesting, I can assure you that this game is fun and you will want to be the best in the city!

Making It Your Own

The thing that really took me by surprise in Hairdresser Simulator was the studio/salon building aspect of the game. This was actually what I enjoyed the most. You start with a limited budget and you have to basically just get what you can get to make your studio look like a total dive. However, you can pretty much customize every aspect of your studio to really make it your own. From the floor to the ceiling, you have many different design choices that you can play around with here. They do have presets for those who do not like this, but to me, that is crazy as this is such a fun part of the game.

The Tools Of Trade

The actual hairdressing that you will be doing in Hairdresser Simulator does not require you to have any knowledge of it. You have a wheel of a whole host of stuff to use from scissors to a blow drier. You can wash a person's hair, cut it, style it, dye it, and even come up with all kinds of crazy hairstyles. You can also hire other hairdressers as your empire grows and you open up more studios across the town. It all works really well and is very easy to figure out. You just bring up the wheel, select the tool that you want to use, and then get to it. I found it to be fun and there are ways that you can import hairstyles, but I have not messed around with that aspect of the game and to be honest, I have not felt a need to.

The Third Time Seems To Be The Charm!

As I write this, Hairdresser Simulator is just a few weeks old and the save system flat out sucks and is buggy as hell. I am on my third save and touch wood, it has not corrupted and forced me to start again. It is a real shame too as I was pretty attached to the salon in my second save. The game as far as I am aware did not have any kind of early access release so I guess some teething problems were bound to happen, but I will not lie, when it happened the second time I got mad as hell as I was pretty deep into my game when I lost everything. It has had a few updates and as I said, this third save I am on seems to be ok s hopefully that issue has been fixed.

Pros:

• I loved designing my hairdressing studio
• You can even create characters too
• Building an empire and becoming the top hairdresser is addictive
• This is one of the hidden gems of 2024 so far

Cons:

• The save system is very buggy
• I had to restart my game twice as a result of the save issue
