One of the original goals of video games is one that many developers seem to have forgotten nowadays. Games are supposed to be fun, sure, they can also be works of art, but they can be both. Not everything has to be dark and serious That's where Happy Juice games come into play. They've developed a game called Lost in Play, Get ready to step back in time on the road to awesomeness. Happy Juice Games will enable this leap back in time with this point-and-click puzzle adventure later this summer. But what is this adventure all about? Well, let's talk about it!

About the game

Lost in Play invites you to relive the past and your childhood; a time when every road was your playground, and adventure was around every corner, if only in your mind. Lost in Play is your ticket to times gone by: a living cartoon where imagination and a sense of curiosity are the tools of your trade.

Inspired by today's cartoons aimed at children and adults, and paying homage to Saturday morning cartoons, Lost in Play recaptures the playful spirit of our youth, when every sunny afternoon after school was spent venturing into the backyard or strolling through the local park, casting an investigative eye on anything remotely out of the ordinary. Lost in Play offers a feel-good adventure as a brother and sister explore dreamlike landscapes and befriend magical creatures. Lost in their imaginations, siblings Toto and Gal must work together to solve puzzles and return home. This is a unique, family-friendly 2D adventure designed to rekindle the spirit of nostalgia among players.

A cartoony game

This title is a point-and-click game, but it is actually inspired heavily by the cartoons you can see today on TV. Even with this, it still brings a nostalgic feeling in adults, it's like the opposite of Cuphead, which is also nostalgic but looks like a really old cartoon.

The developers of this game have been pretty clear in mentioning that they wanted to bring back the imagination and adventure to the player.

"We created Lost in Play to be the kind of experience that gamers of our generation can play in front of their children," says Yuval Markovich, co-founder of Happy Juice Games. "We wanted to use the spirit of the cartoons we all grew up watching to connect with the sense of adventure that most of us enjoyed when we were younger and tend to lose as we get older. Recapturing that magic is what we set out to do, and we hope players will enjoy finding the charm, nostalgia, and feel-good factor while in Lost in Play."

Lost in Play is an incredible experience, it feels a little like Monkey Island, but in a more fantasy and cartoonish way even. it's a point-and-click adventure with a cartoon-like art style and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. It's not a horror game and there are no jump scares, since the main theme is adventure and imagination. It's not a gritty game that will make you take heavy choices, nor is it a war game, it's just imagination and fantasy. This makes it a perfect game for children and adults looking for something different than what they usually play.
