Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is one of the most unique, fun, and interesting 3D puzzle games that I have had the pleasure to play in a very long time. It is a puzzle game that is certainly going to make you think, but it has a fantastic progression system that gives you all you need to solve the various puzzles as you make your way through the game. It really is great stuff and there is even a demo of it so you can check it out for free. If you are into puzzle games, you really owe it to yourself to give this one a try.

From Blue To Red And Back To Blue

The premise of Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is really cool. We play as this adorable little bioluminescent creature in the ocean called Lumote who is trying to save the day. The colorful, bright, and whimsical world that the game is set in has seen its bright blue landscape be turned to reed, and Lumote sets out on a quest to try and fix things in order to turn it back the way it was. Lumote is freaking adorable and even though he cannot talk, he has a ton of personality and communicates to the player with his movements.

Squish, Bop, And Bounce To Save The Day

This is a 3D puzzle platformer style of game. Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles starts you off pretty simple enough. You need to make your way through this large connected world solving the various puzzles as you go. There are “towers” that separate things and think of these as an endpoint for each area. You can take control of the other inhabitants of this land to solve the various puzzles that you come across. It sounds simple and the premise is, but some of these puzzles are quite tricky, but in a fun and actually solvable way once you get the hang of things.

Under The Sea

You know, this may be a hot take, but I think that Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles might actually be the best looking puzzle game that I have ever seen. The way it actually looks like you are underwater is very cool, but it is the bioluminescent effect that everything has which is really cool. Now that is great, but the game also has this funky and very fitting electronic soundtrack. Actually, as well as sounding great, this electronic soundtrack also fits into the gameplay as it will give cues to certain things which I thought was a very neat effect.

• Lumote is a pretty awesome little character to play as
• The game has some fun and tricky puzzles to figure out
• The visuals in the game are spectacular
• You get to take control of other characters

Cons:

• The game is so good, it is going to leave you wanting more
• I really cannot think of anything else negative to say!
