Magic Inn

Magic Inn could very well be your next favorite life sim/cozy game that takes over your life! There are many games where you play as a witch and many games where you run an inn, but there is truly something special about this early access title that has many people who are into cozy games very excited. This is one of those games that is pretty much on every list when it comes to the best cozy games of 2025. Having had the chance to check this thing out, I wanted to share a few thoughts on why this game is shaping up to be something so awesome!

A Witch In Exile

Granted, I have not played through the entire story of Magic Inn, but what I have read so far sounds so awesome and far deeper than you may expect from something that has the cozy games tag. We play as a witch who has been exiled and we decide that we are going to open up an inn where people can come to stay, eat, and have fun. We want to make it the best inn in the land with our goal being to get this up to five stars. However, there is also a story of heartbreak, tragedy, and redemption that runs through the whole game.

Day And Night People

There are many interesting and quirky characters in Magic Inn, but what put a huge smile on my face is the fact that you can befriend spirits and ghosts! Hey, there are plenty of regular people who come to your inn and there will even be royalty and people from higher society as well, not to mention people who are coming to judge your place. However, when it is dark, you open the doors for the ghosts and people of the night to come and mingle! Talking to people and getting to know the various characters and making sure they are happy is going to be a huge and very fun part of the game.

Spellbindingly Cute

How can you look at a screenshot of Magic Inn and not have a big goofy smile on your face? This is a freaking adorable game and the fact you can tinker with your inn to make it just the way you want is awesome. The characters in the game have a very cutesy look to them, they kind of remind me of characters from other cozy games like the Harvest Moon games and the Story of Seasons games. The whole vibe that the game has is just so cute! If you love your games to have a cute and cuddly style and vibe to them, your cheeks will probably be sore from playing this as you will be smiling the whole time.

Working Her Way Back To The Top!

The goal of Magic Inn is to get your inn rated at five stars, but you are also trying to redeem yourself after being exiled as well. Running the inn is a lot of work, you need to take care of your customers by providing a nice place to stay, but also make them food. You do this with a fun mini-game, but to make food, you need to get ingredients from the locals and maybe even explore a bit further afield. You can even hire people to come and work for you! This is one of those games where it always feels like you have something to do or something to fix, something to improve, and so on. It is a game that is very, very easy to get completely swept up in.

• The story of redemption for this little witch is very well done
• Running your inn is going to keep you very busy
• I love the whole cutesy vibe that the game has

Cons:

• I hope they update this with regular content
• Will there be much to do once you finish the main story?
