According to the game website, Mineko’s Night Market is a game about crafting crafts, eating eats, and catting cats. You play Mineko, a cute little girl living on an island of superstitious people. There, you will solve mysteries while also making crafts, playing with cats, and eating great food.

The game is expected to be released some time in 2021, and has fans who have been anticipating it since as early as 2017 very excited for the chance to finally play.

Solving the mystery of Abe

The people of the island worship Abe, a cat god. This god is believed to be a myth, but then sightings start to appear all over the island. Special agents appear around the same time these sightings occur. In order to discover the mysteries of the island, you’ll have to evade these agents and search locked areas to find clues.

Stunning Graphics

Perhaps one of the best parts of this game is the beauty of the artwork throughout the game. The style is similar to games like Animal Crossing, but 2D and with a hand painted finish. It really adds to the atmosphere of the game as you search for clues and craft supplies to sell at the night market.

The graphics also change depending on the season, allowing you to experience all four seasons on the island as you go along. This means getting a chance to play in the snow, splash in the rain, or simply enjoy a sunny day.

Hours of gameplay

Mineko’s Night Market is designed to give you hours of fun, even after you’ve played through the main plot. There is a weekly Night Market where you can sell almost anything that you find or craft on the island, and mini games such as cat racing at the market.

When you first get to the island, the island is struggling for survival. The island is overrun with cats, and needs to be restored to its former glory. Watch the village change as you complete quests and help out around the village to help make the island better.

The game emphasis is on the ability to free roam, explore the island and it’s features, and most of all—cuteness. The game is meant to celebrate Japanese culture, and simply kicking back and enjoying the game can be a relaxing way to spend your day.
