POLYARIS

POLYARIS is a computer simulation of survival in the Far North, in which players take on the role of a polar engineer. He was on an expedition in the North Sea near Norway when a catastrophe struck the world. From fragments of radio transmissions, he heard about a massive nuclear explosion. Apparently, thanks to the remoteness of this snowy location, he survived and did not receive a life-threatening dose of radiation. But it’s too early to say he’s lucky—he could be killed long before that by starvation, bitter cold, or a friendly 300-kilogram polar bear. Can you stay alive with only a meager supply of provisions and a pair of skis?
