Definitely Not Fried Chicken

I do not think I have seen a more attention grabbing name than Definitely Not Fried Chicken in 2021! This is a business sim management game with a twist! You have to run legit businesses as well as an illegal drugs empire too! It is a very interesting dynamic and it is going to be one of those games that can no doubt steal hours and hours of your life away with its addictive gameplay.

Making The Green

The idea of Definitely Not Fried Chicken is that you want to be the ultimate drugs kingpin in this 80s inspired town. Setting anything in the 80s is always cool so I appreciate that they did that here. The thing is, making and selling drugs is easier said than done so as well as this, you also have to be a legit business person too.

The idea here is that you are working on both sides of the system. On one hand, you are a legit business guy offering services to the city, giving people jobs, and so on. However, at the end of the day, it is all a front for your massive drugs empire! You are kind of like that character Gus from Breaking Bad, that is probably the best way to look at it.

Always Growing

You get to build your empire from the ground up in Definitely Not Fried Chicken. So let’s say you start with a weed farm and you start producing weed. That is great and all, but you also need a place to sell it that is where your chicken joint comes into play. You have to build each area, make sure it is suitable for people to work in. In the drugs trade, you need to always be making the product to sell and making new drugs like coke and meth. You need to make sure that these buildings are safe so that the workers do not get injured and so that rivals or junkies do not break in!

A Happy Employee Is A Hard Working Employee

On the flip side of this, you have your legit businesses. You may start off with a chicken joint, but you can expand as you progress through the game. Here you need to make sure that everything is on the level and employee management plays a pretty big part. Offering them fair wages is one thing, but having a cool break room, a place to eat, and so on goes a long way in keeping them happy.

Enderman Reporting For Work

The visuals and overall presentation of Definitely Not Fried Chicken is something I cannot decide if I am super into yet. The game has a blocky, basic kind of style and I can appreciate that, but all of the characters look and walk like they are an Ender man from Minecraft!

Pros:

• I like how you are secretly a drugs kingpin
• Having to keep your employees happy requires a lot of fine-tuning
• This is great if you like management sims
• There is a lot that you have to keep an eye on in this game!

Cons:

• I do wish it went a bit more in with the 80s setting
• The way the people in the game walk is kind of weird
