The primary objective of the game is to venture into dangerous areas affected by flood and rescue as many of the people there as possible. Thankfully, there is a little more to the game than just walking around and telling people to leave, it includes a variety of situations and scenarios that you have to think around. You may encounter someone trapped in a partially submerged car, or stuck on the upper floors of their house. It’s up to you to see the situation and make the best choices on what tools and skills you will utilize to fix the situation as this is, after all, a simulation game.
There is a variety of vehicles and characters for you to play as, including a medic, helicopter pilot or even a rescue dog. Whatever takes your fancy when your out there saving lives. It comes through the same vein of games as House Flipper, Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 and Pressure Washer Simulator.
Attention to Detail
From what we’ve seen in the trailer and the small sections of gameplay footage, there is a surprising attention to detail in this title that really makes it stand out. All the characters, the world and the things in it look absolutely perfect. The methods one takes to save people or reduce water levels in some areas are all accurate and very satisfying.
The water looks absolutely stunning in this game. As you’re travelling around, you’ll see people on rafts or debris just floating around. The reflective nature of the water catching the sun in the sky makes for a surprisingly pretty game despite all the terribleness occurring around you.
The way the water moves and behaves is very satisfying to watch. If you are a fan of games like Hydrophobia where they put a decent amount of effort into its physics and mechanics, then you’ll probably love this title as well.
This could be one of the most interesting games to be released in the sim category for a while to come. If you are interested in what this game is selling, then this is the one and only that you should be looking at. When it drops, give it a go.
