WHAT THE BAT?

WHAT THE BAT? was developed by indie studio Triband in November 2022. The project is designed for the personal computer and is designed to be played using virtual reality glasses. The engaging levels allow you to have fun and even deal with stress.

Gameplay observation

The concept of the game is original, but rather simple. One day the hands of the protagonist turn into baseball bats. It would seem that this development should lead to drama, but no. Now the character is ready to smash everything around for the fun of the player. The locations are varied: there is a backyard of a private house and open space. Passage characteristics:

• Over a hundred levels are available to the player. Each of them is distinctive and dynamic. It's amazing that the developers managed to come up with so many different levels and never repeat them
• Wide possibilities. You won't have to limit yourself to hitting targets alone. The character will be able to shoot, paint, do parkour and even pet your pets
• Nice music. In such projects, musical accompaniment plays a significant role. It sets the tempo and mood of what is happening on the screen. WHAT THE BAT? has it all. The music is perfectly matched and does not disturb the player
• Unusual quests. From time to time you will have to deal with challenging tasks. For example, taking selfies with baseball bats instead of hands is not easy

The game combines the laws of physics and a certain amount of absurdity. The latter fact is akin to Garry's Mod, where you can create unusual structures or place characters in strange poses. However, no closer analogues can be found in the gaming community.

WHAT THE BAT? looks interesting because of the project's unusual approach. So among the features of the project:

• Funny drawing. The developers approached the realization of the idea with humor. The characters, locations, objects look funny and make you smile. The scenes are also quite comical and topical. Especially the ones with the annoying television or the alarm clock
• Short walkthrough. It takes just 4 hours to fully complete the levels. But the process is so dynamic and interesting that you'll probably want to start over
• Logical challenges. You'll have to be clever to defeat some of the objectives. Perhaps you'll have to hit a banana with a bat to destroy the TV
