But this has never stopped developers from creating incredible games, even if they don't immediately become the best selling and greatest game. But that doesn't mean the end result won't be a beautiful and original game, and that is the case with Airhead.

About the game

Airhead is an adventure game in a Metroidvania style set in an interconnected world that's in constant expansion. Here we'll have to explore, evolve, and have a keen eye to overcome the puzzles that appear before you.

We play the role of Airhead, a small body creature that pumps air instead of blood and uses ahead too in some sort of symbiotic relationship. While it may sound a bit strange, don't get stuck thinking too much about it.

This symbiotic relationship is the key to solving the puzzles in the game. The body and head will have to team up to endure the harsh exploration, using the special abilities of the head and the agility granted by the body.

Starting the game, the symbiotic body being is stripped of its air source and is now incomplete as the air leaks from its body. Now it relies on using air tanks to keep the head inflated and survive the adventure. The machine that ripped the body from its air source is not the only problem in the world of Airhead, but only a small part of something bigger. And we are about to explore what’s going on in this world.

A strange beauty

One of the interesting things about Airhead is the kind of strange beauty it is designed to be. A little bit like Limbo, but in a Metroidvania style. The beautiful and dark art we see in Tim Burton films, where the bright colors contrast with the dark art and cartoony designs, this 2.5D adventure is a joy to explore.

Airhead is a pretty game with incredible art and designs that will keep you hooked. This mixes great with the emotional story that unfolds as you play the game. Kinda like Ori and the Blind Forest, this is mostly an experience you'll understand as you progress, as the plot isn't revealed in narration or anything like that. Airhead has great gameplay and nice visuals, even though they aren't particularly outstanding, this is more of an experience than a fun game.
