The human race is at the top of the food chain for a reason, which is why the entire galaxy soon became one big home for humans. Plenty of space, no one was going to prove anything to anyone anymore, so humanity began to satisfy its warlike spirit in games. The CrossCode project takes up not a few gigabytes of free memory, but an entire planet. Artificially created environment and fauna, dungeons and drop-down system with each killed animal - everything is like in the good old MMORPG. Put on your helmet and go on your travels.

Leia - the main character, goes through the game not by choice. However, to pass the main quest is her main task, as well as the players who travel with her.

MMORPG through the eyes of an RPG

The game shows the modern realities within an MMORPG, mocking the same-type dungeons or hackneyed plots. But most importantly, it shows the relationships within the game, where even strangers are closely linked by circumstances. The player plays the game, where the players play the game. A kind of allegory for the world of modern games, soulless, monotonous and crude.

However, contrary to the mockery of the modern movie industry - CrossCode itself offers unusual mechanics. Behind the beautiful pixelated introductory picture you can find:

• Ninety or more fighting styles and techniques. And you can create your own weapons. Everything is limited only by your desire and imagination.
• Seven huge zones in an open pixel world and hidden maps waiting to be explored.
• Over thirty unique bosses and one hundred and twenty types of enemies.

Special mention should be made of the side characters. Leia always walks around with a broken microphone, so the atmosphere around her is maintained by her teammates. One in reality and completely different in the game - seemingly programmed personalities create a sense of belonging to the world of the game.
