But we are not here to talk about all the games in this genre, but one of the newest games in this category: Office Management 101. Developed by Tulevik.EU, this game has been in early access for a while, and now it is finally getting a full release, so it's the perfect moment to talk about what this game is all about!

Just by reading the name of this title, you can already figure out what this game is all about, and it couldn’t be clearer. Office Management 101 is a game that focuses on managing your own office. But as we mentioned earlier, handling your own business or office can be a really stressful task, so making a completely realistic simulation of that would be a bit tough on the player.

Instead of focusing on a more realistic simulation, Office Management 101 is a game full of satire and it constantly jokes about the corporate world. The characters in this game are not boring business people, as it is full of quirky characters. It is more of a cheerful representation of the business world.

Playing the role of a CEO in a consumer electronics company that’s just starting fresh, you have a lot of important tasks to do to ensure you keep the business going smoothly. Designing the spaces in the office in this isometric pixel-art game is an important part of making the office space as efficient as possible. But one of your most important tasks is to hire the best staff you can, this means looking through their skills and capabilities, but of course, you also have to keep in mind your budget. Can you beat your competitors and rise to the top of the business world?

Simulation tycoon

If you are a fan of the genre, as soon as you see Office Management 101 you’ll think of titles like Game Dev Tycoon. These two games have a pretty similar style and the gameplay is also pretty similar. In fact, you could think these two games are made by the very same developer altogether. Now, we know they’re not made by the same developer, but if you’ve played Game Dev Tycoon you already know the basics for Office Management 1101. They share similar budget systems, similar hiring mechanics, and more odd similarities. But they are both very fun to play.

Office Management 101 is a fun cool game about taking care of your business, but it does like to keep it simple. Luckily for us, keeping it simple works for the most part, as it keeps our focus on the important business stuff. The game controls are pretty good and intuitive, and the office building part of the gameplay feels a lot like playing a business version of The Sims. It’s pretty fun to play for a while, and even though it has some replayability, it gets old after a while.
