Capybara Spa

With Capybara Spa I think that we have may a contender for the most adorable game of 2022 already. This is a charming and fun sim game where you do exactly what the title makes it sound like, you run a spa for capybaras and need to make sure that they are happy and well looked after. This is one of those games where you can play it for ten minutes and have fun, but you can also play it into the wee hours of the morning due to its addictive nature too.

If You Build It They Will Come

The whole premise of Capybara Spa puts a big fat smile on my face. You have this land on the side of the mountain and you decide that the best thing to do with it is open up a special spa so that capybaras (and some other animals too) can come, relax, have fun and make some new friends. As far as I can tell, you do not have a deep story to play through, you just want to make all of the animals happy.

Relaxing And Maxing!

You need to have plenty of spas around the place and you just simply click on a capybara and place them in it, the name of the game is, Capybara Spa after all! However, there is more to running a good spa than just having a few hot tubs. You need to make sure they are well fed and you do this by having a garden full of tasty treats. They will ask for certain types of food and it is up to you to give that to them. They may also have other requests like a clean towel. You can have little critter helpers like ladybugs and dragonflies that will help you as your spa expands which is both cute and very helpful at the same time.

Like Turning The Pages Of A Book

The whole presentation of Capybara Spa is just fantastic. Rather than go the full cartoon route, the game has more of a realistic look, but it is all done in a way that makes it resemble a child’s book thanks to the nice and bright pastel kind of colors they have used. It is a bit basic, but I really like what they have done here as it is just so charming and I can see many people just falling in love with the way the game looks. I guess you could argue that there could be more diversity with the way the animals look, but I could be just nitpicking.

Pros:

• I like the idea of running a spa for capybaras and other animals
• The visuals have a kind of child’s storybook style to them
• You have to pay attention and keep track of what your four-legged clients want
• This game is very addictive

Cons:

• There could be more variety in terms of the animal designs
• There is no big story to play through here as far as I can tell
