Welcome to Thief Simulator 2 by MrCiastku. Have you ever wondered what it was like to break into your neighbor’s house and steal that new TV he won’t stop bragging about? Well, now you can practice. Jump into the role of ‘The Thief,’ a professional with all the tools you need to get started on your way to stealing everything of value in your entire neighborhood. Let’s sneak into it.

Gameplay

I’ll be honest with you, straight off the bat, this game looks is fun as heck. For a low budget game from the same people that brought you Car Mechanic Simulator, Tank Mechanic Simulator, Farm Manager 2021 and House Flipper, there looks to be, once again, a surprising amount to offer in regards to gameplay.

A large amount of this game is in the prep, you sit in a bush across the street from the house you’ve marked and you wait. Watching all the comings and goings about the building, you move around a little and see how many entrances, how many exits there are and you see what their security equipment is.

The second part is in the execution. You go in, break a window, disarm the alarm, sneak in and steal everything that isn’t bolted down. Take everything to your car and get the heck out of dodge. Thankfully they have introduced a little bit of combat, you can bonk someone on the head if they catch you or if you want to make sure they catch some shut eye before they do.

Unlike the former, it appears that there is a lot more variation when it comes to the possible locations. There appears to be shops and banks added in with the houses now.

This new title also appears to provide you with more ways to spend your money like on cars and gadgets, something I really felt the last game didn’t make full use of.

Story

There does not appear to be any dedicated story to this game which can be good or bad depending on how you’re looking at it. Through the voice over, we hear that the character has a lot more motivation than in the previous game and that they could be working with someone else now.

Art Design

The art design is simple and clean, it all really works with the game as it does with a lot of these games. Everything is lit nicely, has a gorgeous high-definition sheen to it and looks really nice to play.

Conclusion

This looks to be a vast improvement on the former installment and could give a lot of gameplay to the player. Looks really fun and engaging at nearly every turn.

Cons:

• Could wind up being a near complete re release of the former game with only minor tweaks
• No multiplayer
