Yacht Mechanic Simulator

Simulators are a fantastic way to experience the world in ways that would take years of training to do in real life. Yacht Mechanic Simulator gives you the satisfying role of a mechanic in charge of taking an old, decrepit yacht and turning it into a sleek new seaworthy machine.

Despite not even being released yet, Yacht Mechanic Simulator has already given some indications that it will be a popular new game. The developer was successfully able to raise over CA$10,000 for developing and launching this new game. Decent graphics

Although not the most breathtaking graphics ever seen, Yacht Mechanic’s graphics do a good job of showing the boats, the water, and what needs to be done. The water could really use more work as though it shows water movement well enough, it doesn’t have the sheer beauty a water based game out to have.

One area the game does excel at is animations. When you draw the anchor up on the boat, the anchor really does draw up, and it looks nice as it comes out of the water. The game has several animations that do this, which really add something to the gameplay.

Simplistic gameplay

Yacht Mechanic Simulator is in closed beta right now, so we do get a sneak preview of how playable the game is. You have the option to both search for and find boats to repair, and also take orders from people who want their boats fixed. The boat fixes range from things as simple as picking up trash, to complex fixes of the engine, or replacing specific parts of the boat. There’s also cleaning off dirt and grime, to bring that boat to a polished sheen.

The game offers more than Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 does, but still has a vague sense of over simplicity that could be improved on to make the game look and feel better.

Thorough tutorial

The beginning tutorial is very detailed and walks you through the process of cleaning and repairing a boat. It doesn’t go overboard or make you feel overwhelmed, but also doesn’t leave you with any questions on how to play the game. After the tutorial you are pretty much free to do as you like fixing or finding boats, which is a very nice touch. Once you’ve completed fixing a boat, you get to take it for a test drive where you have to drive the boat through rings to get it to pass. This is a bit difficult as the boats are unwieldy but adds an extra dimension to the game.
