Martial Fire

Martial Fire is an awesome passion project available on Steam with all of the 2D adventure nostalgia we could ask for! You'll explore dungeons, ancient forests, and disastrous wastelands. Enemies will attack from all angles, you'll solve puzzles to progress, and explore a huge world full of secrets!

Premise

The game begins in the City of Kings, a bustling metropolis! The city is under threat from a dark sorcerer who has arrived in the city with the intention of conquering the neighboring kingdom. The king realizes that his army is not equipped to handle this massive threat, so naturally, it is up to you to save the day!

Gameplay

On top of your typical weapons one would expect, there are four types of magic spells available to you in the game. Each one is unique, so it's up to you to figure out how to use them the right way! The enemies in Martial Fire are brutal and will attack you in all sorts of ways. You will need to be quick and agile to avoid their attacks and defeat them before they defeat you!

Classic Pixel Graphics

The game features pixel graphics that are reminiscent of classic adventure games. The game world is filled with lush forests, dark dungeons, and barren wastelands, all of which are brought to life!

Exploration

The world is huge and filled with lots of hidden areas that can only be accessed by solving puzzles and overcoming challenges. Be prepared to encounter increasingly difficult challenges that will push you to your limits. But don't worry! The game provides plenty of checkpoints and save points to help you progress through the game. There’s also a hint system if you get stuck on a particular puzzle or challenge and need a little help!

Personal Review 8/10

Sometimes the graphics can get a little clunky and you may get stuck from time to time. However, it’s worth noting that this game was developed by only one person! Overall it’s a fun game and is great if you're itching for that old school 2d adventure experience.
